This area benefits from the contribution of sciences such as School Disciplines and Didactics. In line with the mission of the Faculty, research in this area covers topics related to the formation and development of competencies in children at nursery and primary school.
Particular emphasis is placed on: the educational areas at the pre-primary level (science-logics-mathematics, art-music-movement, and more) and the subjects at primary school. Of particular interest is interdisciplinary research.
Studies in this area deal with cognitive, emotional, and affective processes that are activated by teaching strategies and contexts, as well as with concrete teaching and acquisition results. A large part of the research carried out in this area is characterised as research for schools.
