Research

Research stands as the cornerstone of unibz that propels knowledge, progress, and growth. In addition to fundamental research, we work with companies and local institutions in administration and politics and actively seek real-world applications for our research.

Text

More than 450 professors and researchers are currently working on about 300 research projects. In 2022 15.7 million Euro external funding was raised of which 9.6 million Euro from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) whereas most of the remaining external funding comes from competitive calls, including Horizon Europe, PRIN and Joint Projects with DFG, FWF or SNF.". 66 % of these research contracts with third parties are with local companies or organizations. Eight PhD programmes help us train a new generation of researchers.
